Education – A Key Component For Developing nations
Education is the process by which people acquire knowledge, learning skills, social values, attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs, and mastering techniques for communication and cooperative learning. The learning techniques may be school studies, home education, distance education or any other suitable techniques for learning. Schools impart knowledge through teachers and subject teachers and help in developing personality and skills of children. Other institutions also offer education like training, counseling and consultancy, and professional education.
People learn through experiences and these are known as learning experiences. Experiential learning refers to experiences that are derived from doing something rather than studying it. A teacher may guide students in a particular direction, but the learners should be active in making the learning process. Schools impart education, and people learn through education.
Education develops self-awareness, self-esteem, self-discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. It develops different talents like creativity, logical-mathematical, and aesthetic skills. In today’s highly competitive society, education is mandatory. It provides an opportunity to a person to choose his own path in life by gaining knowledge, increasing job performance, enhancing job satisfaction, acquiring better job opportunities, gaining a sense of fulfillment, and enhancing interpersonal relationships. Moreover, an educated person is more confident and self-reliant.
The primary objective of education is the development of the mind. There are many types of education: public education, private education, religion education, etc. Government is also involved in education. Primary education serves the needs of the community; middle and secondary education to develop the basic skills, while tertiary education prepares the students for higher level studies and further training.
Teaching is an integral part of education. Education has many forms, including teacher-led education, instructor-led education, distance education, online education, and interpersonal education. Teacher-led education refers to lessons and lectures, prescribed by teachers. On the other hand, instructor-led education refers to classroom instructions and supervision. Distance education is conducted across the world at various colleges or universities. Online education and interpersonal education are the newest forms of teaching.

Therefore, the education system is becoming very important for a country’s economy. As per the recent studies, India has become one of the fastest growing economies, with a high percentage of literacy. With proper teaching facilities and adequate development of facilities, India can emerge as a global quality leader.
