The Butterfly Strokes Program

The Marcie Mazzola Foundation in collaboration with Saf-T-Swim launched the “Butterfly Strokes” Program in 2010.  The mission of this program is:

“to keep children safe in and around water, to build self-confidence and trust, increase  physical strength, and to heal from within.”

This is program is specifically focused to improve the lives of children who have suffered abuse, sexual, physical, and/or emotional.  To date, children from the following organizations have received scholarships to attend the six week program.

  • Family Service League, Huntington and Riverhead, NY
  • The Safe Center, Bethpage, NY (formally Coalition Against Child Abuse & Neglect)
